School district to consider Solar City, APS deals
During a Thursday special meeting, the Yuma Union High School District governing board will consider approving agreements with Solar City as well as with APS in order to move forward with a project to construct solar panels at chosen district campuses.
Systems are anticipated to be constructed in the form of covered parking through the APS 2012 Production Based Renewable Energy Incentive Program.
“These projects, if approved, will result in the installation of grid-tied photovoltaic systems being installed at Cibola High School, Gila Ridge High School and San Luis High School.”
The meeting begins at 12 p.m. in the YUHSD governing board room, 3150 S. Avenue A. Visit www.yumaunion.org to view the meeting agenda.
