Seniors offered free legal aid
Yuma-area seniors can get free legal assistance this week from the Pinal-Gila Council for Senior Citizens (PGCSC).
A paralegal from the PGCSC will be at the Yuma Senior Nutrition program at the North End Community Center, 160 E. 1st St., 8-11 a.m. Thursday for seniors age 60 and up.
On Friday, the paralegal will be at Somerton's senior center, 245 S. Bingham Ave., from 8 to 9 a.m. and the San Luis senior center, 790 E. Juan Sanchez Blvd. from 10 to 11 a.m.
Typical cases the legal advice team can help with include consumer and debt problems; landlord/tenant issues; fraud, exploitation and abuse; and document preparation for wills, guardianships, income-only trusts, beneficiary deeds and powers of attorney.
