Yuma's youngest are focus of planning session

The First Things First Yuma Regional Partnership Council in collaboration with Cradle to Kinder, Yuma Community Foundation and Yuma County Association for the Education of Young Children will host a strategic planning session July 29.

It will be held from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. in the auditorium of the Yuma County Health Department, 2200 W. 28th St.

The FTF Yuma Regional Partnership Council is completing its local needs and assets report that will be a basis for the next step of developing a local strategic funding plan to ensure that Yuma's newborns to 5-year-olds are healthy and ready to learn.

Council members will be present at this Yuma early childhood development and health strategic planning session to hear from the community about prioritizing goals. Participants will be taken through a process of assessing community strengths, opportunities, aspirations and results.

For more information or to RSVP, call 343-3020 or e-mail mary.reyessanford@azecdh.gov.
