Sex offender has new address in Yuma
Yuma police are informing the public about a Level 2 convicted sex offender's new address.
Arturo Corral, 39, is described as 6 feet 1 inch tall, 320 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. He will be residing at 1922 W. 17th Place.
Corral, who is not wanted by Yuma police, was convicted of one count of lewd and lascivious acts with a child. He pleaded no contest to the charge in a plea agreement in San Joaquin Superior Court on March 1, 2004, and was sentenced to one month in county jail and five years probation.
A police investigation revealed that Corral had sexual contact with the juvenile female victim whom he knew.
Corral is considered a Level 2 sex offender. Level 2 sex offenders have a medium risk to reoffend, Level 3 offenders are considered to have a high risk and Level 1 a low risk. Fliers have been distributed to Corral's surrounding neighborhood.
Yuma police are releasing information about Corral's new address pursuant to the community notification law on sex offenders.
