Teens can participate in hospital's Healthcare Explorer Post

  Teens between the ages of 14 and 18 can learn about Yuma Regional Medical Center's Healthcare Explorer Post by attending a registration meeting Sept. 23.

  Participant in the post will learn about health careers, develop leadership skills, participate in outings and perform community service. Post meetings take place twice a month from October to May.

  The program is limited to 20 youths, who must have completed the eighth grade.

  The registration fee is $20, but scholarships are available.

  The registration meeting session will begin at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 23 at Yuma Regional Corporate Center, 399 W. 32nd St. A parent or guardian also must attend.
