Yuma Community Theater to hold annual meeting
During the annual meeting of the Yuma Community Theater (YCT), nominations to fill three open positions on the board of directors will be accepted.
The meeting of the performing group will be at 1 p.m. June 14 in the meeting room of the Yuma Community Food Bank, 2404 S. Engler Ave. Refreshments will be served.
Ralph Gray, YCT president, said, "Reports will be made on the recently completed season of productions - 'Here's Love', 'Oliver' and 'Run for Your Wife.' Announcement of the 2008-09 agenda will be made.
"There are three openings for our nine-member board of directors," Gray said.
YCT is one of the oldest continually operating community theater groups in the state of Arizona and received its 501c3 designation in 1983.
"Anyone interested in theater is invited to attend," Gray said. "Membership is open. This isn't just acting, it's the behind-the-scenes activities.
"We need people with music talent, those who can help with the costuming for each show. Technicians for building scenery, the lighting and sound effects are welcome. Annual dues are $10, which is really for insurance, and to receive the newsletter."
