Octavio Cervantes is wanted by Yuma police for questioning in reference to on-going aggravated domestic violence and stalking.

Police are asking the public's help in finding Cervantes, who is thought to be in the Yuma area and sometimes frequents the Gadsden area.

Cervantes is described as 43 years old, 5 feet, 9 inches tall, 140 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

He also has an outstanding felony warrant for his arrest issued by the Yuma County Superior Court.

The warrant, which has a $75,000 bond, is for failure to appear for sentencing on charges of kidnapping, burglary, aggravated assault and attempted sexual assault.

Officer Clint Norred, spokesman for the Yuma Police Department, said those charges stem from a case involving the same victim.

"This has been an ongoing thing for a while," Norred said. "We received the latest information about it on Friday."

Yuma police is asking anyone who may know Cervantes' whereabouts to please contact them at (928) 373-4700 or 78 Crime to remain anonymous.
