Victim in Tuesday shooting identified
The man shot while standing in front of a Yuma residence early Tuesday morning has been identified as 19-year-old Enrique Luna of Somerton.
At about 1:56 a.m. that morning, Yuma police officers were dispatched to the 2400 block of West 3rd Street in reference to shots fired.
Upon their arrival, officers located Luna, who had been shot once in the neck.
Luna was transported to Yuma Regional Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. He was later flown to a Phoenix-area hospital, where he is currently listed in critical condition.
The initial investigation revealed the victim was shot in what appears to be a gang-related shooting.
