2 charged in assault spree
Two men were arrested on a string of felony and misdemeanor charges after allegedly driving around Yuma and committing acts such as aggravated assault - including throwing beer cans at an occupied school bus.
According to a news release from the Yuma Police Department, on Thursday morning, Winterhaven residents and brothers Manual Galindo, 20, and Armando Galindo, 22, drove around the Yuma area and committed several acts of aggravated assault, endangerment, disorderly conduct, criminal damage, threats, two incidents of shoplifting and reckless driving.
"Their activities included ... throwing full/partially full beer cans at an occupied school bus, other vehicles in transit and/or pedestrians," according to the release. "They punched a woman in the face, threatening all who crossed their path and wrote graffiti at various locations."
According to the release, alcohol is believed to be a contributing factor.
The men were found and later booked into the Yuma County jail on a host of felony and misdemeanor charges, according to the release.
Two other men, 21-year-old Michael Kinale and 22-year-old Rudy Hopkins, are being sought in connection with the incidents. The release indicates the two men are likely in the Yuma/Winterhaven area.
