To what organizations do you belong? National Hispanic Leadership
What in your past experiences helps qualify you for this seat? As a leader during my service in the Air Force, I learned how to unite the troops. How to work as a team. For the last few decades, have worked as a freelance paralegal. Working for my community to bring justice to those who cannot afford it. From that experience, I learned how to minimize damages and how to mediate matters for the best interest of the client.
If elected, what is the one issue on which you would focus to improve Yuma's quality of life? How? Yuma is a very important business corridor uniting our southern neighbors. Revisiting the NAFTA plan would be an opportunity to bring more business and work into the Yuma area.
What do you think is the biggest challenge right now facing Yumans, and how would you change it? Not using the resources that are available to Yuma as a business corridor. Start networking with the business leader in Yuma to lead the way for a bigger business corridor.
What would you do to make government more accessible? Have meetings frequently with my constituents. Open all lines of communication with my constituents.
Who is your personal hero, and why? J.C. Jesus Christ. After so much torture, pain and anguish our Lord went through, he still found forgiveness in his heart. He loved all brethren. Hate and anger did not change who he was.
