Correction: F-35 story errors
There were a couple of errors in a story that was published in Sunday's edition of the Yuma Sun that reported on a presentation by Col. Robert Kuckuk about the F-35B at Marine Corps Air Station Yuma.
The Marine Corps has future plans to consolidate all of its Operation Training and Evaluation squadrons in Yuma over the coming years, which will bring both fixed and rotary wing aircraft to Yuma resulting in approximately 800 or so personnel to support this consolidation.
Also, MCAS Yuma now has three F-35B aircraft. The first one arrived on Nov. 16, followed the next week by two more planes. A fourth plane is expected to arrive soon.
The Yuma Sun regrets the errors.
