Yuma man suspected of child molestation arrested
Comments 0 | Recommend 0A Yuma man was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of child molestation, according to a news release from the Yuma County Sheriff's Office.
The suspect in this case, Jeff Rowell, 38, was arrested and booked into the Yuma County jail on charges of molestation of a child and sexual abuse.
This arrest, which happened at 9840 S. Somerton Ave., came after the Yuma County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a child molestation forwarded from the Wellton Police Department.
The alleged incident involved three children ranging in age from 4 to 9.
Rowell was the nonparental custodian of the victims at the time of the incident. The victims were in his foster care, according to the sheriff's office release. Child Protective Services has been notified.
