Scholarships listed for Miss Yuma County Pageant

   Final reports on the awards presented at the Miss Yuma County Scholarship Pageant have been announced.

  Valerie Munk, executive director of the Pageant, said, "Antigone 'Tiggy' Mitchell, the Miss Yuma County 2009, is recipient of a $5,000 scholarship donated by Underhill Transfer Co. Her platform is 'Stopping Domestic Violence.'"

  "Pacesetter Homes donated scholarships to each of the runners-up," Munk said:

 • First runner-up - Danielle Holyfield, $2,500 scholarship. She also received the $300 Spirit of Miss Yuma County award contributed by the Blabe family in honor of Sally Reynolds. Her platform is "Break the Cycle - Domestic Violence."

 • Second - Bre-Anne West, $1,500 scholarship. Her platform is "Go Healthy Kids - An Alliance for a Healthier Generation."

  • Third - Mikala Roberts, $1,000 scholarship. "Home of Hope" is her platform.

 • Fourth - Isaed Urias, $500, with a platform of "Preventing Child Obesity."

  Other scholarship winners were Jennifer Kussey, $1,000 academic scholarship, from the Miss Yuma County Board. Platform is "Prevention of Animal Cruelty."

  The Quality of Life $1,000 scholarship was presented to Tasha Streich, donated by Yuma Investment Group. "Teenage Suicide" is her platform.

  Kara Moore received a $1,000 scholarship for community service in honor of Nancy Croninger, donated by Sue Stallworth, Joni and Steve Meinhardt. Her platform is "Living with Lupus: The Butterfly Effect."

  Macey Wildermuth won the $300 Miss Congeniality in honor of Pat Richards. This was donated by the Gingrich family and the Miss Yuma County Board. Her platform is "No Time to Waste: Recycle."
