Air show needs logistics help
For the most part the air show was great. I did observe some things that need correcting in my opinion. People (me included) paid a fee for assigned seating and grandstand seating and were basically seated away from the focus of the action looking at a building and fuel depots.
The northeast end of the grandstand should have been back at least 50 feet. We couldn’t even see the Marine band or the Patriot Guard. Did anyone notice how many people were in the chalet area? Looked to me about 20 percent occupied.
What a waste. Lower the price and better chairs might help. I noticed it wasn’t too long before the grandstand people were up and moving out for better view. People who helped pay the bill got the worst seating area. Great to have more buses but they need help also. Buses should have marked for preferred or general parking and the Marines helping didn’t really know which bus was which. The loading and unloading spots should have been more defined.
Good show, but you’ve got some logistical issues to fix to make it better.
