For the first time in its history, the Yuma Sun took honors for the Best Daily Newspaper in Arizona last Saturday at the Arizona Newspaper Association's annual awards presentation.

For the 30-plus years I've been in the business, winning that title has been a personal goal. In the past five years, like most Yuma County businesses, we've had our share of economic stress, downsizing, and doing more with less, including our company's bankruptcy and then recent sale to 2100 Trust. We've had our share of distractions. But our smaller team of associates has managed to produce quality content, design creative ads and develop a strong web and social media presence every day. They are dedicated to providing you with the best news coverage in the area, delivered to your door in print or online.
