Cap and trade bill shouldn't pass
The public is being conned by Congress and special interest groups advocating global warming. Many individuals identified with these groups have a financial interest in companies that will benefit greatly once we have the so called CAP AND TRADE passed into law. This bill, like prior spending bills passed by this Congress, could not pass if the public knew the specific details contained within them.
I have one word that can destroy all their arguments supporting global warming. The specific word I refer to is GREENLAND given to land covered by ice. When the Vikings first discovered the land called GREENLAND more than a thousand years ago found it green with vegetation. That is the basic reason why they called it GREENLAND. We didn’t have automobiles or other energy consuming machines during this period. During this same period, England was so warm, grapes were grown quite extensively.
Another fact most advocates overlook is the composition of our atmosphere. It contains approximately 80 percent nitrogen, 18 percent oxygen and a mixture of other gases which includes CO2 in the remaining 2 percent. In case you don’t know, nitrogen has the ability to absorb moisture.Why is nitrogen not classified as a global warming gas? Maybe because of it being 80 percent of the atmosphere. CO2 happens to be a critical building block for all plant life and determines how fast trees grow. This evidence is obtained from core samples taken from trees such as the huge and very old redwoods in California.
The history of our planet reveals that it is like the rest of our solar system, in a constant state of change. We experience night and day as well as seasonal change as we rotate around the sun. There are changes in our solar system that occur some at such a gradual rate that it requires centuries to complete a cycle. Even our sun causes changes with periodic cycle of sun spot activity affect the earth. More and more scientists are reporting that evidence of global warming caused by man does not exist but rather part of our normal solar cycle. Many studies which initially supported this theory have been re-evaluated under more creditable criteria and found to be lacking rather than supporting this theory.
President Obama wants passage of this cap and trade bill because it will generate massive federal tax revenues on use of all forms of energy. Even those on welfare will be required to pay these energy taxes through higher prices for electricity, water, food and shelter. This will include government bureaucrats eventually controlling how much energy you will be allowed to use.
