A well-traveled box
I knew thieves hadn't stolen what's now become a very well-traveled box of goodies.
Here's proof the world is full of good people, or at least between here and San Jose, Costa Rica.
I recently returned home to the sight of a battered little box. It was something I had shipped to a friend in Costa Rica – before Halloween. The delivery place (not the post office) didn't seem too worried that the package never arrived. Everyone just said: “Oh, well. It probably was just stolen.”
They said that if it wasn't stolen, the box would probably find its way home – eventually. I preferred to believe the latter scenario.
Not only am I optimistic, I also knew the contents were blessed. The box is filled with Catholic books and a rosary.
Maybe before sending the globe trotting package BACK to Central America, I should borrow the rosary for a quick prayer.
