Where were protests about smoldering fire?

Where were the environmentalists and air quality control people?

A fire burned for several days and nights in the Yuma area, which caused smoke to hang over the southwest area of Yuma.

It made our eyes water and our lungs burn, to say nothing about the odor that it produced.

I wonder why the people that are so outraged when a farmer does a one-day legal burn did not protest this ongoing burn that kept smoldering and producing the unhealthy air we had to breathe.
