Get to know the candidates before you vote

Forty-one days and counting ‘til the 2012 election. Not only is there an important presidential race at stake, but we have some hotly contested local elections coming up on Nov. 6. Early ballots will be mailed soon for Yuma County voters. Have you made your decisions yet? The Yuma Sun is hosting two forums for Supervisor and Sheriff candidates; come out and hear their views on issues raised by our readers. On Monday, Oct. 1, we'll feature candidates for Supervisor in Districts 3, 4 and 5. On Tuesday, Oct. 9, we'll hear from candidates for Supervisor in District 2 as well as candidates for Yuma County Sheriff. Both meetings will start at 6 p.m. at Booth Machinery, 6565 E. 30th St. Important local issues will be decided in the next few years. Who will represent us best?
