Thanks to candidate forum participants

On Oct. 1 and 9, the Yuma Sun hosted two candidate forums so Yumans could learn a bit more about the individuals running for the Yuma County Board of Supervisors and sheriff.

And let me tell you, I was amazed by the turnout. Every chair was filled at Booth Machinery, and people were lining the walls to hear what the candidates had to say.

My sincerest thanks to the candidates — Leon Wilmot, Ricardo Sandoval, Russ McCloud, Dan Dawson, Russ Clark, Karl Koenig, Ginger Jane Hammack, Tony Reyes, David Lara, Greg Ferguson and Gary Wright — for giving voters the chance to get to know you all better. And thanks to Booth Machinery for letting us use your facility.
