Best gift of all is each other

Happy day after Christmas.

Did all of you get what you wished for?

I know I did. I got to spend Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with my wife and family and friends, which I've come to realize is the best gift anyone could ask for or receive.

Actually, we no longer exchange gifts. We decided some time ago that the time spent worrying about what to get each other was not worth the worry, and besides, whatever gift idea you might come up with, the person you're shopping for would probably buy it for his or herself anyway.

So, instead we get the most out of being with one another, talking, laughing, and of course eating.

The downside is just when we get on a roll, it's like the time has flown by and it's all over for another year.

That being said, here's wishing everyone a wonderful new year, and I can't wait until we cross paths again.
