Team fixed playground

On Aug. 27, Cibola’s football Coach Arviso and his football team came to Hand in Hand Christian Preschool to prepare the school playground for the opening of school in a few weeks.

This year, the school needed to have a new layer of sand for the playground. The layer of sand consisted of 10 tons of sand. Under the guidance of Coach Arviso, the players quickly went to work.

Prior to the sand being spread, weeds, grass, and debris had to be removed from the playground. Each player took turns filling wheelbarrows with sand, dumping and spreading sand, and replacing equipment. The players worked nonstop until the sand covered all areas around the equipment and refilled the sand box. After all the sand was on the playground, the players took the time to sweep the parking lot where the sand had been dumped. This was all done in just one hour.

To Coach Arviso and all the Cibola football players, thank you for a job well done. The Yuma community and the parents of each of these young men should be very proud not only because each player volunteered their time, but for being such respectful, hardworking individuals.
