It's too cold to be Yuma

Brrrrr. The low temperatures, very low humidity and winds are combining to make us feel cold. Cold is not why we live in Yuma, Arizona!

Boots, scarves, jackets, gloves — those are items that collect dust in my closets. And while my Northern relatives scoff when I tell them it's freezing here (and they have a right because 5 degrees is truly much more brutal), I am sticking to my guns. It's downright cold.

Last week I saw snow in the mountains near Victorville and San Diego, Calif. Seeing the white snowflakes falling and the white covering on the hills was enough; I've had all the snow and ice I could ever want. I want sun and warmth, even in January.

So come on, weatherman! Bring back the 70s and hurry; I'm not a fan of the dry cold. Dry heat is much more tolerable, even when it's 110 in the shade.
