Office seeker knows importance of voting
I would like to thank all the people who came out to vote in the primary election. Voting is one of the most powerful rights that citizens have.
As I lost to Lenore Stuart by a margin of less than 6 percent, which shows the importance of every vote.
Additionally, I would like to thank her and Paulo Escalante for their clean and fair election. This is how elections should be, about the issues and not mudslinging.
Now that the voters have made her the choice for the next four years as our District 1 county supervisor, we must rally behind her to better our community regarding the high unemployment, housing issues and the other pressing needs in our community.
Win or lose, every candidate should continue on the promises they made while campaigning, so we may have a great Yuma County. If allowed, I will continue to serve my community.
My congratulations and best wishes to Supervisor Stuart.
