Great American hero off the air

I said goodbye the other day to a true American hero. I watched the final episode of "Lou Dobbs Tonight" and I was speechless when I heard Dobbs resign from CNN.

Dobbs has been my hero for several years now while I tried to make sense of this whole border and illegal alien issue. He has been a breath of fresh air in my sense of trying to understand it all.

Dobbs has stated that he will pursue other options. There have been cries for some time for him to run for higher office. I applaud that cry. Even I would like to see that.

However, I do not think America is ready for such a progressive as Dobbs. That could be a deadly pursuit.

That does not mean that I would not support him in his efforts.

If Lou Dobbs can do it, then I surely could, too.

I hear Sarah Palin needs a running mate.

Before anyone says it:  Yeah, I am a radical. Why not? Nothing else has worked effectively up to now.

Anyone else have any better ideas?
