As a longtime animal advocate, I am writing to commend you on Chris McDaniel's June 1 article headlined "Reward offered to find Somerton dog killer."

I find it encouraging that the Yuma County Sheriff's Office is lending this crime the seriousness that it deserves.

Those that deem it fit to shoot a dog are a danger to society as a whole.

I do hope that the sheriff's office finds the perpetrator or perpetrators of this crime.
