    Stop enabling use of Spanish

    Comments 0 | Recommend 0

Recently and in the past, I read a lot of articles on teaching English to those in school, and also have heard a lot about having to press "1" for English on many business listings. In our very own paper, there is a section on learning to speak Spanish.

My question is simply, why are we making it easier on the non-English speakers by providing these services? Why not have a learning English section in the paper?

Our country has been "invaded" by illegal immigrants. In the past, they were encouraged to assimilate if America is where they wanted to be. Now it seems we are accommodating them at the expense of our own identity as a country.

Businesses, please remove the press 1 for English. Yuma Sun please start printing a learn English section. Stop being the enablers to this growing problem.
