Growing bank fees a problem

I live in a wonderful manufactured home/RV park in the Foothills. A few months ago, we were given the choice of paying our monthly fees as usual or using a credit card. I thought that was a great idea – after all, many of us have the rewards card and that sounded like a plus to me, so why not?

Well, as the saying goes – “If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is!” Due to ever-increasing bank fees, this option is no longer available. The banks were bailed out once and now they want us to keep them in business by paying for them to stay in business.

I am not saying all banks are doing this – if you meet certain criteria, such as direct deposit, maintaining a minimum balance, etc., you pay no fees. That's reasonable and makes sense.

The good old days are long gone. Let's get some moms at the top of the “bank chain” – they know how to “make ends meet” and “stick to a budget.” My mother would save her egg money to get the extra things she wanted – where has all the egg money gone?
