Craving new and unusual flavors? Lay's has you covered
A stroll through any store's potato chip aisle has become quite the adventure for those whose taste buds crave diversity.
The standard old flavors have been joined by newer and unusual offerings. Among those are three from Lay's that are finalists in their fan-submitted flavor contest: cheesy garlic bread, chicken & waffles, and sriracha (the Thai chili sauce).
Flavors from other companies include grilled steak, sweet onions, and tomato and basil. For Ruffles fans, we have molten hot wings, and chili & cheese.
The winner of last year's Lay's Do Us a Flavor contest was classic BLT.
Most of these flavors sound very intriguing. But I'm a purist and will stick to my chili cheese Fritos and Cheetos, thank you – unless Lay's takes the advice from one snack food connoisseur who's come up with the perfect combo for a new chip flavor: gin & tonic!
