Fundraiser was great success

On Jan. 20, the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie & Auxiliary #398 held a fundraiser for the Yuma Diamonds 14U girls softball team. The girls have qualified to participate in the National World Series being held in Reno, Nev., this July. The fundraiser was held to help the girls off-set their travel expenses while representing Yuma.

The day was perfect, the food and turnout was great, the raffles and auctions were brisk and exciting. The Comstock Lode Band from Boise, Idaho, graciously donated their time and talents and provided music for the listening and dancing pleasure. The girls and their parents worked extremely hard to make this event a success. We would like to thank those that attended, participated and donated both raffle and auction items. Without the support of the community these types of endeavors would not be possible. Thanks again.
