State should be more concerned about education

What a refreshing story about how Amulya Doniparthi asked for a classroom set of science books for her birthday gift.
Kudos to her parents for making this gift a reality and giving an entire class of students the opportunity to learn.
How sad that the state of Arizona doesn’t seem as concerned about her education as she does. With budget cuts in education as drastic as they are, it’s no wonder the books are 12 years old and taped together.
It is embarrassing for students in Arizona to be thought so little of.
