Taste buds free of sugar assault loving God-made goodies
God hasn’t upgraded the sweet potato.
That’s a funny realization, I know. But I’ve been wondering: Why are fruits and vegetables tasting so extra good lately? And I had this realization — I haven’t been eating candy.
Since having weight-loss surgery last December, I no longer assault my taste buds with refined sugar and all its crazy flavors. I am truly tasting fruits and veggies for the first time — and wanting more.
That’s a good thing, too. Releasing weight means not only eating little or none of the “bad stuff,” it involves eating lots of God-made goodies fresh from the vine, branch or soil.
For an update, my grand-total weight loss so far is 190 pounds. That’s 3 Xs down in shirt sizes ... and I feel great.
Now, for dinner tonight, how about a kettle of spicy Asian veggie soup?
