Greed has gotten worse in U.S.
Of all the letters written to the paper regarding the demise of America because Obama was re-elected, how come no one mentioned the insatiable, ugly greed of the last 20 years. Yes, greed has always been with us, but it has gotten much worse.
Wall Street, the banks and big corporations are the very people who pay themselves rich rewards while shipping middle-class jobs out of the country. These are the ones who have destroyed the middle class and created the "entitlement society" which they now criticize if they need help. Shame on you! Do you really expect them to support a family on a $10-an-hour job?
What about the people who make their money in the U.S. and then send it to the Cayman Islands so they don’t have to pay taxes on it? This is what is destroying America — the ugly greed of the 1 percent. These are supposed to be our job creators. That is how they justify the big tax breaks. If this is true, where are the jobs?
America will be great again when the middle class is great again and not until then.
