Two generations came together
Comments 0 | Recommend 0We would like to take this late opportunity to thank and acknowledge the Yuma High School FBLA Students who coordinated and participated in the 2nd Annual "Senior Prom" hosted by Copper Hills House Assisted Living in the Foothills.
This amazingly talented group of teens designed invitations, decorated for the event, assisted in serving a wonderful dinner, played an assortment of tunes from a previous era and danced the night away with area seniors.
The Greater Foothills Helping Hands Faith in Action volunteers, Bee Hive Assisted Living and Copper Hills House Assisted Living Residents were the attendees at this wonderful event.
The time, thought and effort that each of these students put in to make this a memorable night for the guests was heart-warming to all.
Our most senior participant, a 99-year-old gentleman who participates with Helping Hands was crowned King. Our Queen for the evening was a volunteer of the group as well.
All who attended enjoyed watching the youths and seniors co-mingle, dance and laugh at the antics of each.
We at Copper Hills House would like to encourage the community to support this talented group of teens who give of themselves.
We are looking forward to 2010 Senior Prom.
