News media, liberals pushing for new gun laws?

More about the Newtown elementary school shooting has come out and this time it's the truth, at least according to MSNBC. (check out their website http://video.today.msnbc.msn.com/today/50208495#50208495

Officials have had to come out and admit that the coroner has released some information along with police reports. That information includes details that an AR-15 rifle or the so-called “assault weapon” was not used in the school shooting. Also, there were initial reports right after the shooting, that police found the AR-15 Rifle in his car, not in the school. The rifle was never used. The shooter went into the school with four handguns. The AR-15 “assault rifle” as the media has charged was never removed from the car.

Can you remember in the initial hours of this shooting, police said they found the rifle in the car? But apparently the news media had a pre-planned attack already waiting, to ban so-called assault weapons and jumped on that line of reporting, knowing it was a lie. One media type expert wannabe, Piers Morgan, said the shooter used an AR-15 that shoots hundreds of rounds per minute, as if it were a machine gun.

Oh, and by the way, more new information also confirms that the shooter even tried weeks earlier to buy a rifle but was turned down in the background check. So, how did the shooter get his weapons you may ask? He killed his Mother and took hers.

The point here is that more laws will not stop crazed lunatics from carrying out mass killings. In case you forgot, it's already against the law to kill people. But, if a person is hell bent of shooting and killing people, do you suppose they sit around and worry about stealing a weapon to carry out that sick deed?

I wonder, could it be that the Democrat liberals and the news media were pushing for new gun laws, hoping they could have done it before the coroner released this new information? I'm betting on it.
