Judge orders husband to take wife out to dinner
A judge ordered a man to buy his wife flowers and take her to dinner. This is a pretty smart judge, if you ask me.
The Florida man apparently forgot a special occasion and got into an argument with his unhappy wife. He pushed her, resulting in a domestic violence charge.
He doesn’t have prior arrests and the wife is not afraid of him, resulting in the judge’s unusual “punishment.” The judge also ordered the couple to see a marriage counselor.
He noted he wouldn’t normally order such “whimsical” conditions for a domestic violence charge, but he thought this would be a better resolution since the wife had not been injured or in danger.
Although I believe there’s never a good reason to mishandle someone, much less hit or cause injury, I believe this judge handled the case well. The husband will think twice before pushing his wife and he’ll never forget special occasions again.
