No meaningful letters to print?

I am amazed at the letters being published by the Yuma Sun. Is there an absence of thoughtful, meaningful letters?

Recently, a letter penned by Philip Taylor asserted that the last election documents the revocation of our Constitution and Republic. In his letter, he mentions that he prayed to God for the election of Willard M. Romney.

In 2008, Bill Maher made a film, “Religulous,” about the diversity of the “gods” worshiped in America and throughout the world. Has Taylor viewed this film?

While the national elections affect us all, has the constitution of the state of Arizona and the charter of the city of Yuma been nullified by the Constitution's Electoral College election of someone other than Romney?

Where is Taylor's concern for the gift of millions of public dollars by the city of Yuma to a California-based developer and the Yuma County Board of Supervisors accepting full-time pay of $63,800 for part-time effort? In his prayer, did he include Supervisors Stuart, McCloud, Reyes and Ferguson?

Certainly, our country and the world has major problems created and sustained by those we choose for leaders at all levels of government.

Of the Seven Deadly Sins, greed appears to be germane to our current national situation.

“We have all sinned and ...” that's you and me!
