Retirement ends pretense

With the retirement of editor Terry Ross, the Yuma Sun can drop its last vestige of libertarian pretense and come out as part of the left-wing propaganda machine for the Democrat/Socialist party.

In 1950 Sen. Joseph McCarthy – the most unfairly maligned American in history – discovered an “immense conspiracy” of communist spies and traitors in the U.S. government. He overlooked their co-conspirators – liberals in politics, the media and intellectual circles. They viciously smeared McCarthy and insisted that anti-communism was worse than communism.

McCarthy's charges were eventually proved to be accurate when secret government documents were made public. But the liberals' hate campaign against America never ceased. They covered up Obama's Marxist background and called his opponents racists as they boosted him to the presidency. Now they are delighted as his totalitarian policies tear down the free enterprise traditions that made this the leading nation with the highest standard of living the world has ever known.

Not that our decline is all one-sided. America is being destroyed not only because liberals want it destroyed, but also because conservatives refuse to believe that liberals can be so mindlessly destructive.
