Louie the Lumberjack missing

I am one disappointed Lumberjack.

Recently I decided to get a new Northern Arizona University personalized license plate.

I went online to servicearizona.com, made my way to the page where all 39 styles of plates are displayed — I didn’t realize Arizona had so many choices — and started looking for the NAU plate. Now you have to realize, I was looking for the plate I’d seen on many vehicles, the blue and gold on white plate featuring big, bad Louie the Lumberjack, ax in hand.

What I found is what must be the NEW plate: blue and green featuring what I call the new eco symbol.

Needless to say, I’ve changed my mind about a new plate. I mean, the Arizona State University plate still has “Sparky,” and the University of Arizona plate still has the “Wildcat,” so where did Louie go? Inquiring Lumberjacks want to know. At least this one does.
