Russ Jones must have done bad job
This letter is in reference to the one from Margaret C. Geis who could “only wonder why a Yuma County voter would vote for a non-Yuma County resident” (Darin Mitchell and Steve Montenegro) in Legislative District 13 instead of Yuman Russ Jones.
That's like saying someone should vote for President Obama just because he is black.
Yumans must be pretty unhappy with Russ Jones and the job he's done. I believe if Russ Jones was doing a good job for Yuma County, Yuma County voters would not have voted him out.
I think it was wrong for Jones to bring a lawsuit against his former opponent so he can get on the ballot. Jones cares more about himself and getting his job back than what's best for the state of Arizona. This is exactly what's wrong with our politicians on both sides.
We are in real trouble in this country. Hillary Clinton didn't live in her district — but bought a house and wah-lah, it was OK. Rahm Emanuel had not been in Chicago for over two years — he was living in Washington, D.C., but, wah-lah, it was OK.
Our laws are only enforced on some and not others. If you're Democrat, you get a free pass. But Republicans live by a different set of rules.
In the District 13 situation, in my opinion, what's good for the goose is good for the gander. Shame on you, Russ Jones.
