McCain cares about people
Comments 0 | Recommend 0I read a letter to the editor from a veteran who had asked John McCain for help on getting his veteran disability benefits. He said he heard from McCain shortly after and soon he was receiving his money.
I had the same experience with McCain involving my 18-year-old brother, who was a prisoner of war in Korea. After the Defense Department declared him dead and told me of the eight medals he had earned in Korea, I tried for three-plus years to get his medals to no avail. I am the only one left in my family. Among his medals are two Purple Hearts and the Bronze Star.
I thought maybe I could get some action if I contacted McCain. I did and after about three months and three letters from McCain, I got my brother's medals. This goes to show you that he is a good man. McCain takes care of the "little people."
I am proud to call him my friend - he gets my vote.
