Arizona making new law fail from start

Of all the states that have passed medical marijuana laws (18 plus the District of Columbia), Arizona has done more than any other state to make this law impossible to implement.

Here's the deal: First you see a doctor. Last year, the only available doctor in the state was in Phoenix. The cost is $150 plus the trip. Second you pay the state $150 to issue you a card. Now you are a legal medical marijuana card holder.

Yet there is a problem. Up until a month ago, the state blocked any dispensaries from opening. Currently you have to go all the way to Phoenix to visit the one dispensary in the state.

Most patients have neither the knowledge nor the thousands of dollars necessary to buy the equipment to grow the medicine you have a permit for.

This state has tried to make this law fail from the start.

If you can't buy it legally or grow it, seems like the state is referring a lot of patients to the Mexican drug cartels. Where else are you going to go?
