Hat trip yielded excellent results
In March of last year, while on a Jeep run past Red Cloud Mine area, our group stopped to look at an old mine shaft that was about 15 feet deep.
A gust of wind blew Jack’s hat down the shaft. It had a hatband that my wife had made about 10 years ago.
On Nov. 29, I told Jack to bring a fishing pole along because we were going back to the mine shaft. Much to everyone’s delight, he did. And he was able to fish the hat out!
Critters had eaten a hole out of the brim, but the hatband was in good shape. This was a good fishing trip out in the desert.
