Motherly love can create concerns
Did you see where Austrian Cardinal Christoph Schoenborn's mother doesn't want her son to be the next pope?
Yup, she's afraid that if he gets the top job in the Roman Catholic Church, she won't ever get to see him.
In case you don't already know, 115 Catholic cardinals are currently gathered in Rome to pick the new head of the church and Schoenborn is rumored to be a top candidate.
You have to feel for his mother, but then again, would you want to hold your son back from achieving the pinnacle of his life's endeavor?
I mean, hypothetically, if I was ever in position to be Major League baseball commissioner, I would hope my mother would not state publicly that she's against it because I won't be coming to dinner on Sundays anymore.
She already tried to tell me who I should and shouldn't date in high school, but I hope that's where she'd draw the line.
