Generosity of Obama intended to get votes

The predictable column on Sept. 23 by Terry Ross on Mitt Romney’s remarks about 47 percent of Americans who don’t pay income taxes overlooked another group that benefits from the redistribution of our inflated dollars — government employees.
Obama is counting on these people to re-elect him in hope of receiving more from his boundless generosity. Then it wouldn’t be hard to convince them (as Ross may already be convinced) that he must repeal the 22nd Amendment and become President for Life to continue taking care of them.
That sort of thing happened before - when Rome went from a republic to an empire, then to ruins.
