Officers need our help, respect

I would like to give a great thank you to all our officers, sheriffs and YPD, Border Patrol.

I hear and read so many negative comments regarding Yuma’s law, and I must say it really hurts me to know that people think so low of the men and women who are understaffed but yet still give above 100 percent to keep us Yumans safe, and I’m sure all the bad talkers would dial 911 if something happened and they needed help.

Underpaid and worked like crazy securing our city and borders — yes, Yuma has been having a lot of crime going on. But not only is it up to the law enforcement to keep us safe but ourselves as well — we need to stand up and take our town back. No, I do not mean physically but by getting involved, get rid of the "I don’t want to be involved syndrome" — call if you see something, hear something, report if your neighbor is dealing drugs or abusing their child, if you see a crime, report it and take back these "turfs" from all these lazy deadbeat gang members. We as a city have the right to live safe and peaceful, not to expect that YPD or YCSO will be there. They need our help just as much as we need theirs!

Once again, thank you, Yuma law enforcement, all departments!
