Sequestration will not be end of world
Sequestration by no means is going to mean the end of civilization as we know it. In 1978, many Californians and myself took to the streets to get petitions signed to put Prop 13 on the California ballot to change the California Constitution to limit taxation on real estate. The reason for this push by Californians to limit their taxes was because old people were being taxed out of their homes. The liberals in California screamed bloody murder. The liberals threatened to empty out the prisons and jails, shut down state hospitals, shut down the highway patrol, and even turn out the streetlights. By threatening to do all of these things the liberals created a wall of opposition against the bureaucracies. What Prop 13 did was forced the bureaucracies to cut waste and fraud from many of these state run programs. In San Diego, when SDG&E tried to shut the streetlights off, the people took rocks and broke out the windows of the trucks. The next day SDG&E said they were taking the emblems off of their trucks. The next day the insurance company for SDG&E said if SDG&E took the emblems off their trucks they would drop the insurance. The Republicans in the House of Representatives are trying to save our children and grandchildren from having to pay for our spending sins.
Just a little faith in our form of government and knowing right is on our side will take us over this little bump in the road.
