Some comfort in being 'sinner'
Comments 0 | Recommend 0I noticed a letter decrying homosexuals wanting the same rights and privileges as married couples. Also, I have become aware of a proposition to define a marriage as being between one man and one woman.
I will deal with the first issue first. I feel certain that all of these people who think that homosexual orientation is a choice and, furthermore, they are sinners and doomed to eternal hell. The homosexuals can be comforted that they will not have to spend eternity with these people.
I would like to refer these self-righteous Christians to Matthew 7:1-5. I also think it would be good of them to look to Matthew 7:14-20. I feel they must look up these passages from the Sermon on the Mount so they won't feel I am interpreting these passages from my own sinful state.
By the way, I am probably as heterosexual as anyone can be by my natural inclinations. I just think very strongly that anyone who is trying to tell others how to live their lives are fools! They are not credited with good sense.
Proposition 102 is attempting to define a marriage as a union between one man and one woman. The adherents of this proposal should refer to Genesis 29, where we are told Jacob ended up with two wives, so perhaps that should be what a marriage is since it is in the Bible. And Jesus himself seems not to have married at all.
