Just think about who is crossing
Comments 0 | Recommend 0In regard to a story in The Sun on Aug. 24 that reported on some flooding that occurred along the border fence around the Organ Pipe Cactus Monument.
Instead of talking about ways to fix the problem, to keep it from happening again in the future, the story come across to me as complaining about the fence even being there.
My question to Defenders of Wildlife spokesman Matt Clark and the other environmentalists groups is: When a terrorist sneaks across the open border because it is safe for animals to cross and he/she sets off an explosion at the Palo Verde nuclear power plant, what are you going to tell the victims and their families?
Oh well, no animals were harmed? Where are your priorities people? It's not just Mexicans sneaking across the border to make a better living because their country won't let them do it at home. Mexico connects to South America, an easy access route for those who would want to do harm to the USA.
So think about who may be crossing the border besides the animals. Every time there is a story about the border fence, in the paper, this very important point is never brought up. To my way of thinking, Yuma and Wellton are not that far away from Palo Verde, if the wind is blowing in the right direction.
So plug the holes in that fence and help the border patrol out every time you get a chance. Just think about who might be sneaking across.
