Something cool in the neighborhood
Something very cool is happening in my neighborhood.
No, we aren't getting sidewalks. The city isn't coming in to put us all on the sewer system. And no, I don't see street lights going up.
No, this is so much cooler than any of that.
A new family recently moved in down the street, and from what I can tell, they have three young boys.
The way I can tell this is because nearly every time I pass by the house these same three boys are out in the front yard playing.
Recently they graduated to playing football with some other kids in the street. Although I have to be really careful when they stop play so I can pass by, I don't mind a bit. In today's age, when it seems everyone is parked in front of a video game, a computer or constantly messing with their smartphone, it is so refreshing to see children outside, exercising, playing.
